The protection of your data privacy is very important to us. Therefore we describe in the following, how we process your personal data on our website and in our business partnerships.
General Processing of Data from Guests Visiting Our Website
You may generally use our website without providing any personal data. In this case we will only acquire non-personal access data (e.g. the name of your internet provider, or the webpage that you visited before ours). We process this data in order to improve our services. It is not possible to identify you on the basis of this information.
Processing of Personal Data with Your Express Consent
If you are applying for a user account, your data will be saved until you revoke your consent or your user account is deleted, provided no legal retention period applies. If the data is required to fulfill obligations resulting from a contractual relationship, it will be stored in our permanent database. The data will be deleted after the expiry of tax and commercial law retention periods, except in case you give or have given us your express consent to continue to process it thereafter.
Processing of Personal Data for the Purpose of Contract Fulfillment
We store and process your personal information in case we enter into a contractual relation with you, for the purpose of and in the extent required for pre-contractual steps and contract fulfillment. This includes in particular your address data, the information which you provided regarding your driver's license and the data on the provided bank account. Additionally we process contract-specific data. This data will be deleted after the expiry of tax and commercial law retention periods, except in case you give or have given us your express consent to continue to process it thereafter.
Categories of Personal Data That Are Processed
Name, surname, date of birth, address data, phone number, e-mail, fax number, data of your bank account, driver's license and your ID.
GPS tracking
In principle, our vehicles can be found by GPS tracking and can be opened remotely in an emergency. A location of the vehicle during the journey doesn't take place.
Data Disclosure
Data is disclosed, for the purpose of contract fulfillment, to the following companies. TeilAuto Neckar-Alb subcontracts third-party specialist services to these autonomous businesses:
- Other car sharing providers, in case you are taking advantage of a membership in them to use our services “Quernutzung”
- Insurance companies and lawyers, in case of traffic accidents and damage
- Debt collection agencies, if you fail to settle claims even after repeated notices of default (Mahnung)
- Accounting firms
Data is disclosed to additional third-parties, if they are subcontracted by us with services in the frame of the general contract. In accordance with our General Terms and Conditions we are entitled to sub-contract third-parties with tasks of the general contract. The scope of the data disclosed is limited to the information required to fulfill the sub-contracted tasks. Such tasks may include: the booking of vehicles (call center “Buchungszentrale”), the provision of vehicles, member administration, the billing of a customer's fares and invoicing. Where needed, data is disclosed on the basis of an order processing contract that ensures the compliance with all data privacy protection requirements.
In all other cases data is disclosed only in cases when required by law, for example in the frame of legal duty of disclosure to law enforcement authorities.
Data Transfer to SCHUFA (Credit Assessment Institution)
teilAuto Neckar-Alb transfers personal data acquired in the course of this contractual relationship about the application, fulfillment and termination and about non-contractual or fraudulent conduct, to the SCHUFA Holding AG Wiesbaden. The legal bases for these data transferals can be found in article 6 paragraph 1 point b and article 6 paragraph 1 point f of the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union (GDPR). Data transferals on the basis of article 6 paragraph 1 point f GDPR may only be conducted in as far as this is necessary to safeguard the interests of teilAuto Neckar-Alb or third-parties, and if said interests are not outweighed by the interests or basic rights and freedoms of the affected individual, which require the privacy protection of personal data.
The exchange of data with SCHUFA is also done to satisfy the legal requirements to conduct a credit assessment of customers (§ 505a and 506 of the German civil code “Bürgerliches Gesetztbuch”).
The SCHUFA further processes the data received and uses it for profiling purposes (scoring), in order to provide information to contractual partners within the European Economic Area, Switzerland and if needed other countries (provided the existence of an adequacy arrangement by the European Commission), inter alia for the assessment of the creditworthiness of natural persons.

Usage of Cookies on the Website
During your visit to our website cookies may be used on several pages. These are text files which are saved to your computer and among other things allow for a smooth experience during your stay in our online services. We employ cookies on the basis of Art. 6 Par. 1 S. 1 f GDPR, whereas we are protecting our following legitimate interests:
- Enabling of the use of special functions,
- (pseudonymized) Analysis of usage patterns in order to optimize our website,
- Increasing in the attractivity and user's comfort of use of our website,
- Improvement and demand-oriented design of our services.
The usage of cookies is done in the scope of so-called “usage profiles”. This means that you are given a pseudonym under which your usage data is saved. Your IP address is saved only in abbreviated form so that the allocation of a usage profile to a person is no longer possible.
Most cookies employed by us are automatically deleted from your computer once you close your browser (session cookies). Other cookies may remain on your computer and allow us to identify your computer via the created usage profile, the next time your visit our website.
Our website only uses our own cookies and none of third-parties. Duration of the Data Storage
If you create a user account, your data is saved until you revoke your consent or the deletion of the user account, provided no legal retention period applies. Personal data that is required for pre-contractual steps and contract fulfillment will be deleted after the expiry of tax and commercial law retention periods, except in case you give or have given us your express consent to continue to process it thereafter.
Information About Offers and Services
If you have opted to receive such information, this entitles teilAuto Neckar-Alb or third-parties which are contractually bound to teilAuto Neckar-Alb, to contact you by e-mail or through other means (post or telephone, provided that you have given us the respective contact information). This is done with the purpose to inform you about services, prize competitions or offers, which are directly related to teilAuto Neckar-Alb or its products and associated services. Revocability of Your Consent
In as far as the processing of your personal data is subject to your consent, you may withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future. teilAuto Neckar-Alb has taken security measures to ensure that your personal data is protected. We use encryption and a firewall, in order to prevent third-parties from accessing your personal data.
To comply with applicable legislation teilAuto Neckar-Alb reserves the right, to access and disclose personal data, in order to be able to operate our systems in accordance with regulations or to protect our customers and ourselves
Rights of the Data Subject
As a person affected by the processing of personal data, you have the right to demand information on the data saved (Art. 15 GDPR), to demand correction of incorrect data (Art. 16 GDPR), to demand the deletion of data (Art. 17 GDPR), to demand the limitation of the processing of data (Art. 18 GDPR), to object against undue processing of data (Art. 21 GDPR) and data transferability (Art. 20 DSGVO).
You have the right to object to the data processing, if it is based on Art. 6 Par. 1 p. f GDPR. You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time, in as far as the reasons for your objection derive from your specific individual circumstances. We will then desist from further processing of the personal data, unless we can produce compelling and legitimate grounds for its continuation which outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms, or if the processing is required for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.
In cases concerning direct contact for advertising purposes (direct advertising), you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data for the purpose of such advertisement at any time; this includes profiling, in as far as it is connected to such direct advertisement.
